If you are investing in the National Pension System (NPS) for your retirement, here is some useful information for you. You will no longer need to visit multiple websites for various services related to your pension account. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has launched a new digital platform called 'NPS Central.' Through this, subscribers can view their accounts, access investment details, and perform various essential tasks—all in one place. The PFRDA announced this new digital initiative in an official statement.

What is 'NPS Central' and how does it work?
'NPS Central' has been designed to bring various services related to the National Pension System (NPS) onto a single platform. It integrates services from the three Central Recordkeeping Agencies (CRAs)—Protean, KFintech, and CAMS—into one location. This makes it easier to view account information and manage pension investments. The platform was launched on October 1, 2026, coinciding with 'NPS Day.'

7 Key Benefits for NPS Subscribers:
1. No need to remember your PRAN: Existing subscribers can now log in using their registered mobile number and date of birth. Verification will be completed via an OTP sent to the registered mobile number.

2. Investment details on a single dashboard: Subscribers can view information regarding their NPS account and investment portfolio.

3. Check contribution status: You can track the status of contributions made to your NPS account and make new contributions to your existing scheme.

4. Compare schemes and pension funds: You can make informed decisions by reviewing the features, performance, and charges associated with various investment options.

5. Download account statements: The platform offers features such as downloading account statements and updating profile information.

6. Grievance redressal: In case of any issues, you can file a complaint by navigating from this platform to the 'Pension Sahayak' portal.

7. Easy registration for new accounts: Individuals looking to join the NPS for the first time can also use this platform to register. The platform facilitates onboarding with the help of AI, and enables KYC verification through CKYC and DigiLocker. Upon completing the registration, users receive an electronic PRAN (e-PRAN). There are no onboarding fees on the platform, though charges for other services or investments may apply.

Also includes 'NPS Swasthya'
The platform also allows for registration under 'NPS Swasthya,' which integrates a super top-up health insurance policy with a dedicated investment component. Before opting for this, it is essential to review the insurance terms, eligibility criteria, and coverage details.

Where to log in?
NPS subscribers can access the platform by visiting www.npscentral.in. To log in, you will need your registered mobile number, date of birth, and an OTP. Please note that while this new portal simplifies account management, it does not guarantee better returns on your investments. Before selecting an investment option, carefully consider the associated risks, charges, and your personal retirement goals.
