Currently, any document for proof of birth date, name, and identity is considered valid for making a PAN card. But from July 1, it will not be possible to make a PAN card without an Aadhaar card.
Can link till this date
At present, while making a PAN card, users are given the option to link Aadhaar with a PAN card. However, now its linking will become mandatory. Users can link their PAN card to their Aadhaar till 31 December 2025. However, if someone links a PAN card to Aadhaar after 31 December, then he will have to pay a penalty.

According to media reports, the department found that a single person has multiple PAN cards or the government is being fooled while making tax payments by making PAN cards in the name of another person.
How to link Aadhaar with a PAN card?
A PAN card can be linked to Aadhaar through income tax e-filing.
Step 1- First of all you have to go to the tax e-filing website.
Step 2- Here you will get the option of Link Aadhaar, click on it.
Step 3- Now enter both PAN and Aadhaar numbers here.
Step 4- After this, enter the mobile number which is registered with both of them.
Step 5- Now click OK on I agree to validate my Aadhaar details with UIDAI.
Step 6- Finally you will get a message of Pan Has Been Linked Successfully.
