Crores of farmers across the country have received a major gift ahead of the 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. In a Cabinet meeting held on July 31, approval was granted to continue the PM-Kisan scheme from 2026-27 to 2030-31, with a financial outlay of ₹3.15 lakh crore.
Farmers who were wondering whether the scheme would be discontinued now have their answer. The only remaining question is when the next installment—the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana—will be released. Under this installment, farmers will again receive ₹2,000 in their accounts. There is already talk regarding the date of the upcoming installment. Let us find out which date is being discussed among the farmers.
When will the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana be released?
The 24th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana is expected to be released in October or November 2026, although the government has not yet announced an official date. Following the release of the 23rd installment on June 20, 2026, and after the regular four-month interval, eligible farmers will receive ₹2,000 in the next installment.
Previously, the 21st installment was released on November 20, 2025. Before that, the 18th installment was released on October 5, 2024. Based on past trends, the 24th installment could be released sometime between October 5 and November 20.
For the upcoming installment, ₹2,000 will be transferred to eligible farming families via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. If you have not yet completed your e-KYC, please do so before the installment arrives; otherwise, your payment could get stuck.
Launched in 2019; ₹2,000 payments to continue until 2031
The Modi government at the Centre launched the PM Kisan Yojana in February 2019. Under this scheme, eligible farming families receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually, transferred directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments. The scheme will now continue until 2031, and farmers will continue to receive the funds in their accounts.
