Before Holi, women in Maharashtra are in for a treat, the government has announced to give Rs 3000

Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Welfare Minister Aditi Thackeray has shared an update on social media account X. Which she emphasized the goal of the scheme to empower women financially and said that the total amount of the 8th and 9th installment for February and March, Rs 3000, will be released by March 7, 2025.

New Delhi: Crores of women of Maharashtra are eagerly waiting for the next installment of the Ladki Bahin Yojana. But they are going to get good news soon. Actually, the state government can release the next installment of the Ladki Bahin Yojana before Holi. The Maharashtra government has announced just before International Women's Day that it will deposit the pending installments in the bank accounts of 2.52 crore eligible women.

These women get Rs 1500 every month

Let us tell you that in the month of August last year, the Maharashtra government launched this scheme to provide financial assistance every month to make women financially independent and to provide social security. Women from 21 years to 65 years of the state can avail the benefits of this scheme, who are given financial assistance of Rs 1500 every month. The government deposits this money in the bank account of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

These eligibility is mandatory to avail of the scheme

Under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, the beneficiary has some criteria to avail financial assistance every month.

The woman should be a resident of Maharashtra.

Married, widowed, divorced, abandoned or destitute women as well as an unmarried woman in the family get the benefit.

The age of the beneficiary should be between 21 to 65 years.

There should be a personal bank account linked to Aadhaar.

The annual income of the beneficiary's family should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh.

2.38 crore women have got the benefit

Let us tell you that under this scheme, the Maharashtra government has transferred Rs 17,505.90 crore to the bank accounts of 2.38 crore women beneficiaries till December 2024. This was mentioned in the pre-budget economic survey of the government presented in the assembly today i.e. on Friday.
