This much loss is estimated this year

The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center (I4C) set up by the Ministry of Home Affairs estimates that Indians will suffer a loss of Rs 1.2 lakh crore this year. The number of cyber crime complaints has also jumped in recent times. In 2024 alone, about two million complaints were registered, which was about 15.6 lakh last year and it is ten times more than the complaints registered in 2019.

According to the report of NDTV, the increasing complaints and losses related to cyber crime show that India's digital criminals are becoming more clever and smarter and their number is increasing in this country of about 290 lakh unemployed people.

Bank related frauds are also happening a lot

During this period, there has been a tremendous jump in the cases of bank related fraud.
