In today's time, the methods of online fraud are constantly changing, and scammers are making people their victims with new tricks. The latest case is of a fake message scam in which people are confusing people by calling themselves government organization or police officer. Now a new trend has emerged, in which fraudsters are trapping people by sending fake messages in the name of India Post.

It is claimed in these messages that your parcel could not be delivered due to wrong address. Also, a link is given on which by clicking, you are asked to update the address and pay service charge so that the parcel can be sent again. These messages look exactly like the original but its purpose is only to steal people's personal information and money.

When the user clicks on that link, he reaches a fake website which is prepared by scammers. Here, as soon as the user enters his personal details or payment information, all his information is in the hands of the fraudsters. After this, they can steal money from the user's bank account or use his data for wrong purposes.

The surprising thing is that these messages are also being received by people who have not even ordered any parcel. But due to the content looking real, many people get deceived.

So if you get a message related to a parcel and are asked to click on a link or make payment, then be careful. Do not share any details without confirmation and delete such messages immediately or report them to the cyber cell.

Apart from this, avoid sharing OTP or other important information with any unknown person. Cases of cyber fraud are increasing rapidly in the country. In such a situation, one mistake of yours can cost you a lot. That is why always avoid such things that you find sensitive.
