India Post Parcel Fraud: Through the Indian Postal Department i.e. India Post, you can send your parcel anywhere in India. Or you can order anything. India Post gives you a tracking number for this. Through this, you can track your parcel. But for some time now, many cases of cheating people in the name of India Post have come to light on social media. Messages are sent to people's phones to get the parcel. And it is said that you have 48 hours.

If you do not click on this link and do the process to get the parcel, then your parcel will go back. Many people, in greed for the parcel, click on the link and become victims of scam. But now scammers have found another new way to cheat people. This method is so dangerous that you will not even understand that you are being scammed. Let us tell you how you can save yourself from this scam.

Fraud by booking a parcel

Earlier, messages were sent to people in the name of India Post. In which it was written that your package has arrived in the warehouse and we have tried to deliver it many times. But your address is incomplete. You should update your address by going to the given link within 48 hours. Otherwise, your parcel will be sent back. On seeing this message, the link you used to click on. That link was not on the official website of India Post, which is why many people were saved from fraud.

New way of fraud

But now the fraudsters have found a new way to scam. Now a parcel is booked in your name. In which your number is registered and then you get a message of parcel from India Post. On which the tracking number is also given. If you track the parcel through the tracking number, then you get complete information on the website of India Post.

You start feeling that someone has really sent you something. But as soon as you believe that someone has sent the rest of the parcel for you, you are almost about to get trapped in the scam because this parcel is booked by the scammer in your name. After this, the scammer calls you and says that the parcel is booked in your name because you have received the message.

So in such a situation you feel that it is true that the parcel is in my name. Then the scammer asks you for money to give the parcel. You think that paying a few rupees for the parcel is not a loss-making deal. In such a situation, you give the money. You think that now you will get the parcel. But this does not happen, the scammer has taken your money and you do not even get the parcel.

How to avoid this scam?

First of all, when you get any such message, do not react to it immediately. Find out if anyone in your house has ordered anything for you or if anyone has ordered anything in your name. If you have not ordered anything and no one in your house has ordered anything then ignore this message.

If the scammer calls you and says that there is a parcel in your name then you should refuse and say that you do not want to take the parcel. But if he repeatedly asks you to take the parcel then complain to the cyber cell of that number. And while clicking on the link, keep in mind that the link in the message is not of the official website of India Post. So do not click on the link even by mistake.
