BCECEB B.Tech Lateral Entry: First-round seat allotment results to be released on this date

B.Tech Lateral Entry: Candidates can select their preferred colleges and branches—a process known as "choice filling"—for admission into the second year of the B.Tech program until July 23.

The admission process for lateral entry (direct admission into the second year) of the B.Tech program for diploma holders in Bihar's government engineering colleges is currently underway. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will release the seat allotment results for the first round on July 25. According to the Board, candidates will be able to view their allotment results by logging into their portals on the official BCECEB website.

Online choice filling open until July 23

Online counseling and choice filling as part of the admission process began on July 13. Candidates have until July 23 to select their preferred colleges and branches for admission into the second year of the B.Tech program. This counseling process is being conducted for admissions across all government engineering colleges in the state, as well as at the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Women's Institute of Technology, which operates under Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga.

Instructions regarding choice locking and retaining printouts

It is mandatory to complete the choice filling process by the deadline of July 23.

If a candidate does not lock their choices in time, the system will automatically lock the selected options once the deadline expires. All candidates are advised to take a printout of their selected options and keep it safe for future reference. Seat allotment on July 25 will be based on the merit list and the choices submitted by the candidates.
