BC Sakhi Yojana: Under the BC Sakhi (Banking Correspondent Sakhi) scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government, 50,192 women have been trained as banking correspondents in rural areas. Of these, 39,561 BC Sakhi are actively working and have transacted Rs 31,626 crore so far. Due to this, they have received a dividend of Rs 85.81 crore.

The BC Sakhi (Banking Correspondent Sakhi) scheme was launched on 22 May 2020 by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Launched under the leadership of CM Yogi, the scheme aims to make women self-reliant and provide banking services to the villagers near their homes.
What is the eligibility of BC Sakhi?
In the scheme, a minimum 10th pass, computer literate, and eligible women have been selected and trained. This campaign is progressing rapidly in partnership with Bank of Baroda, UCO Bank, and UPCON.
Distance to banks has reduced.
Certification has been completed by IIBF. With this policy of the state government, women are becoming self-reliant at the rural level.
