The 2026 calendar year is nearing its end. The month of October will conclude in a few days, leaving only November and December. From a banking perspective, these two months are set to be quite significant—largely because they are packed with festivals, leading to increased activity at bank branches. Consequently, bank holidays will play a crucial role. According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday list, there will be 33 bank holidays across these two months.

It is important to note that these holidays do not apply uniformly across the entire country. Some are specific to certain states or cities and will only be observed in those particular locations. Conversely, there are other holidays that will be observed nationwide—for instance, banks will remain closed across the country on the day of Diwali.
