Agreement reached: An agreement has been reached between the Indian Banks Association (IBA) and bank employee unions, under which a five-day work week can be introduced with a weekend holiday.

Change in operating hours: If the proposal is approved, banks will adjust their operating hours, opening at 9:45 am and closing at 5:30 pm, increasing daily working hours by 45 minutes.
