Online Banking Services
For cash emergencies, all banks operate their online websites and mobile banking service apps regardless of weekends or other holidays - unless users are informed otherwise for special reasons. You can also use any bank ATM for cash withdrawals.
All bank annual holiday calendars are declared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act, which deals with the issuance of cheques and promissory notes. Transactions involving these instruments are therefore not available during these listed holidays.
RBI and state governments list holidays for banks keeping in mind national and local occasions, operational requirements, religious ceremonies and other cultural rituals. The central bank announces it on its official website and through notification to banks and other financial institutions.
