Public and private sector banks—such as SBI, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and PNB—will remain closed for two days this week across various parts of the country.
According to the Reserve Bank of India's official holiday calendar, banking operations will be suspended this week due to Independence Day and regional festivals.

Despite the bank holidays, customers will continue to have access to digital banking services. Net banking, mobile banking apps, UPI services, and ATMs will remain operational 24x7. You can carry out financial transactions without interruption using Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or net banking. However, for branch-related tasks such as cheque clearance, passbook updates, or cash deposits/withdrawals, you will need to wait for the bank to reopen.
