According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks will remain closed for 14 days this month due to weekly offs and various major festivals and observances. This applies to both public sector banks—such as the State Bank of India (SBI), PNB, and Canara Bank—and private sector banks like HDFC, ICICI, and Axis Bank. However, it is important to note that banks will not be closed for all 14 days in every state; since some holidays are region-specific, a bank might be closed in one state on a particular day while remaining open in another.

4 August: Banks closed only in Agartala due to Ker Puja.
8 August (Saturday): Nationwide bank holiday due to the second Saturday of the month.

13 August: Banks closed in Imphal due to Patriots' Day.
15 August (Saturday): Bank holiday on the occasion of Independence Day.
16 August (Sunday): Nationwide weekly holiday.
