Ayushman Yojana is being implemented in Delhi, how was free treatment available before this?

PM Ayushman Yojana In Delhi: BJP government has been formed in Delhi. 50-year-old Rekha Gupta, who won the assembly elections from Shalimar Bagh, has been made the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Yesterday i.e. on 20 February, she took oath as the Chief Minister. BJP is returning to power in Delhi after 27 years. As soon as the BJP government is formed, many schemes will be started for the people of Delhi in Delhi.

Which was not implemented till now. Delhi residents did not get the benefit of the Prime Minister Ayushman Yojana of the Central Government. After the formation of the BJP government, all Delhi residents will get a chance to get free treatment up to 10 lakhs under PM Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Even though the Central Government's Ayushman Bharat scheme was not implemented in Delhi, it is not that Delhi residents were not able to get health care. Let us tell you that instead of Ayushman Yojana, a free treatment facility was provided to the needy people under Delhi Arogya Kosh by the state government. Under this scheme, people could get their treatment in all government and private hospitals in Delhi.

If there was a waiting period of more than 30 days, then there was an opportunity for free surgery in private hospitals under the Free Surgery Scheme by the government. This scheme was state sponsored. Apart from this, Mohalla clinics were being run by the Delhi government. Where absolutely free treatment was given. In which medicines were given free and tests were also done for free.

Now you will get free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh

As soon as Ayushman Yojana is implemented in Delhi, Delhi residents will get double benefit. Double benefit because in the rest of the states of the country, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided under Ayushman Yojana. So, in Delhi, under the Ayushman Yojana, there will be an opportunity to get free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh. Because before winning the elections, BJP had announced in its manifesto that after forming the government in Delhi, double benefit will be given to the people of Delhi by BJP.
