Ayushman Health Card: How to get Ayushman Health Card from home? Which documents will be required, which expenses will be included?

Ayushman Yojana is being called the world's largest health scheme. It provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year to the poorest 40% of the country's people. Elders aged 70 years or more can take advantage of this scheme. The central government started this scheme in 2017 under the National Health Policy. Then many states including West Bengal and Delhi refused to accept this scheme. After the BJP came to power in Delhi, this scheme has been implemented in the capital from April 5. That is, now this scheme is not applicable only in West Bengal.

Under the Ayushman scheme, treatment can be done in selected government and private hospitals across the country. Ayushman cards have started being made in Delhi from April 10. Delhiites will get double coverage with Ayushman card. That is, through this card, economically weaker people will get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh from the Center. At the same time, the Delhi government will also give additional help of up to Rs 5 lakh. That means, Delhi residents will get a total health cover of up to Rs 10 lakh.

Who can avail of the benefits of this scheme?

People living in rural areas.

People from Scheduled Castes or Tribes and Tribal communities.

People working in the unorganized sector.

People doing daily wage labor.

People living below the poverty line.

Disabled people can avail the benefits of the Ayushman scheme.

Who cannot avail of the benefits of this scheme?

People working in the organized sector.

Those who have a concrete house and vehicle.

Employees whose PF is deducted every month.

Government employees are also out of this scheme.

People who pay income tax.

ESIC members also cannot avail the benefits of this scheme.

Which diseases are covered?

Chronic diseases are also covered in the Ayushman scheme. Expenses on transport are covered in it. All medical tests, operations, treatment, etc. are included in it.

How to get an Ayushman card made sitting at home?

Go to the official website of Ayushman Yojana https://pmjay.gov.in/.

Click on the option of 'Am I Eligible'.

Enter your mobile number and captcha code.

Log in with the OTP received on your mobile.

Check your eligibility by entering your state and Aadhaar number or ration card number.

If you are eligible, then you can get an Ayushman card by completing the further process.

To get the card made, you have to get your Aadhaar card or ration card verified at the PMJAY kiosk.

After this, the family certificate has to be presented and full details have to be filled.

Now you can get your e-card printed with AB-PMJAY ID.

Which documents are required?

Aadhaar card.

Ration card or family identity card (PPP ID).

Mobile number.

Name in the eligibility list.

Caste certificate (if from reserved category).

Income certificate.

Documents related to the current status of the family.

Where can one get treatment?

Under the Ayushman Yojana, treatment can be availed in selected government and private hospitals across the country. If the patient is admitted to the hospital, then the expenses for 10 days before and after the hospitalization are also covered under this scheme.
