Why is resetting the Instagram Reels algorithm necessary?

Sometimes, you start seeing the same videos repeatedly on Instagram Reels. This is because the app analyzes your activity to understand what you like. It tracks which Reels you watch completely, like, or comment on. Then, your feed is customized accordingly. However, accidentally watching certain videos can also mess up the algorithm. How to reset the Instagram Reels algorithm?

First, open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
Tap on the three lines (More options) in the upper right corner.
In the menu, select Content Preferences.
Tap on Reset Suggested Content.
Read the information displayed on the screen and accept the terms.
Then, tap on Reset Suggested Content again to confirm.
