Ayushman Card: Getting free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is now even easier! Long queues at government offices for the Ayushman Card are a thing of the past. With the National Health Authority's new app, you can check your eligibility and complete your e-KYC from the comfort of your home.

Ayushman Card: There's great news for beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The central government has now made the process of obtaining an Ayushman Card completely digital and very easy. Now you don't need to stand in long queues outside any government office or take the help of any agent to avail the benefits of free treatment. The National Health Authority (NHA) has clarified that citizens can now generate their cards themselves through their smartphones.

NHA provides information on social media

The National Health Authority (NHA) has informed citizens through its official social media handles that the 'Ayushman App' has now become a one-stop solution. Through this app, you can not only check whether your name is in the scheme or not, but also complete your e-KYC in a few minutes and download your digital card.

How to check your eligibility?

If you want to know whether you are eligible for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, follow these steps:

  • First, install the Ayushman App from the Play Store or App Store.
  • Open the app and click on 'Login'. Select the 'Beneficiary' option and log in using your mobile number and OTP.
  • Now, select your scheme (PMJAY), your state, and district in the form displayed on the screen.
  • You can search for your eligibility using your Aadhaar number, ration card (Family ID), or name.
  • If your name is in the list, the list of all family members will open. If the name is not found, a 'No Beneficiary Found' message will be displayed.

How to complete e-KYC from home? If you are eligible but your card has not been generated, you will need to complete e-KYC:

  • Click on ‘Do e-KYC’ next to your name in the beneficiary list.
  • Select the ‘Aadhaar OTP’ option for verification. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number linked to your Aadhaar; enter it.
  • Your information will be displayed on the e-KYC page. Here, you will need to click and upload a recent photo (selfie), which will be matched with your Aadhaar data.
  • After filling in all the information, submit the form. Once the verification is successful, your Ayushman card will be ready.

How to download your old card:

For those whose KYC is already complete, a ‘Download Card’ button will appear next to their name. By clicking on this, you can save your Ayushman card in PDF format, which can be shown for treatment at any listed hospital.
