The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has clarified that consumers can file complaints by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH).
Major GST reforms
The government has decided to simplify GST rates by replacing the four slabs with just two (5% and 18%). These reforms have reduced the prices of 99% of daily use items. The government stated that it is continuously monitoring pricing, and many companies have voluntarily announced price reductions to ensure that the benefits are passed on to consumers.
