How to check your name in the voter list online?
If you live in UP and want to check your name in the draft voter list, first go to the website voters.eci.gov.in. Select your state and enter your polling station number or area. Then fill in your full name, your parents' full name, district, age, and assembly constituency information. If you have a voter ID, entering its serial number will make the process even easier.
Upon searching, the system will indicate whether your name is present in the draft voter list. If your name is not found, you can immediately begin the process of filing an objection or claim. The Election Commission is repeatedly emphasizing that this is the last chance, so it is the responsibility of every voter to check the list as soon as it is released and apply immediately if needed.
What to do if your name is not in the draft list? The State Election Commission has announced that claims and objections regarding the draft voter list can be filed from January 6th to February 6th. If someone's name is not on the list, is incorrect, or has been removed, they can apply during this one-month period. On January 11th, 2026, Booth Level Officers will be present at all polling stations, and the voter list will be read aloud.
This will give people the opportunity to check their names offline as well. If a voter is listed as unknown or missing, they can have their name reinstated by providing proof of their name being on the 2003 SIR list or by submitting one of the 12 documents specified by the Election Commission. The Election Commission emphasizes that the draft list is not final, and therefore, taking timely action is crucial.
