The PNGRB launched the MyPNG portal on October 1, 2026. This platform consolidates services—such as online applications, status tracking, payments, installation details, and grievance redressal—for PNG connections intended for homes, shops, or industrial units.

If you are considering getting a new Piped Natural Gas (PNG) connection for your kitchen, shop, or business, the process has now become much easier. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) launched the MyPNG portal on October 1, 2026. A key feature of this portal is that it allows you to apply for a new PNG connection online while also enabling you to check your application status and access information regarding grievances.

This means you no longer need to search through various gas company websites or make multiple visits to their offices to secure a PNG connection. Significantly, after applying via your mobile phone, you can access various details regarding the connection process on a single platform.

How Does the MyPNG Portal Work?

MyPNG has been designed as a unified digital platform for services related to PNG connections. It enables domestic consumers, shopkeepers, and operators of industrial units to apply for connections.

How to Apply for a PNG Connection from the Comfort of Your Home?

The application process on the MyPNG portal is entirely online. You can apply by verifying your mobile number via an OTP. Subsequently, you will need to upload the required documents and submit your application.

First, visit the MyPNG portal.
Verify your mobile number using an OTP.
Fill in the details for the new PNG connection application.
Upload the necessary documents.
Track the application status online after submission.
You can also view updates regarding payment, installation, and connection activation during the process.

Who will get a new PNG connection?

Applications submitted via MyPNG are forwarded to the local City Gas Distribution (CGD) company. The respective gas company then processes the application based on the existing PNG pipeline network in your area. In other words, receiving a connection immediately after simply submitting an online application is not possible. However, the time taken to secure a connection after applying online may vary by region, primarily depending on the availability of the PNG pipeline network in that specific area.

How do you file a complaint online?

The MyPNG portal is not just for obtaining a new PNG connection; it also allows you to file complaints online should you encounter any issues related to your application. Additionally, you can track the action taken on your complaint. A major benefit of this system is that it minimizes the need to contact multiple different entities regarding your grievance.
