Application Deadline Extended for 11,000+ IBPS Clerk 2026 Posts; Opportunity Open Until This Date

IBPS has extended the application deadline for the Clerk (Customer Service Associate/CSA) recruitment. Another opportunity has arisen to apply for the IBPS Clerk 2026 recruitment.

A fresh opportunity has emerged for candidates preparing for government jobs in the banking sector. If you missed applying for the IBPS Clerk 2026 recruitment, there is no need to worry. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has extended the application deadline for the Clerk (Customer Service Associate/CSA) post. The original deadline of August 21, 2026, has been extended to August 28, 2026. Candidates can submit their online applications until 11:59 PM on August 28.

How many vacancies are there?

This recruitment drive aims to fill 11,403 Clerk (Customer Service Associate) positions across various public sector banks in the country. The recruitment is being conducted under CRP CSA XVI. Participating banks include Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, and other government banks. Candidates are advised not to wait until the last moment and to complete their applications in time to avoid issues caused by heavy website traffic or technical glitches at the eleventh hour.

Who can apply?

To apply for IBPS Clerk 2026, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year students are also eligible to apply, subject to meeting the prescribed conditions. Additionally, candidates must possess basic computer knowledge and proficiency in the local language of the state for which they are applying. The candidate's age must be between 20 and 28 years. Age will be calculated as of August 1, 2026. Reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government rules: 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

What is the application fee?

General, OBC, and EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹850. For SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates, the fee is ₹175. Payment must be made online; the application process will not be considered complete without the submission of the fee.

When will the IBPS Clerk exam be held?

The IBPS Clerk 2026 preliminary exam is scheduled for October 10 and 11, 2026. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary exam will be selected for the main exam. The main exam will be conducted on December 27, 2026. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the main exam. Subsequently, a local language proficiency test will also be part of the process. There will be no interview for this recruitment.

What is the salary?

Upon selection and appointment to the post of Clerk, candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹24,050 to ₹64,480. Additionally, various allowances and other benefits will be provided as per the rules.

2. Next, register by clicking on 'New Registration'. Once you receive your login details, fill in the required information in the application form.

3. Candidates must also upload a photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration. Finally, pay the fee applicable to your category and submit the form.

4. Thus, candidates who had not previously applied by August 21 now have the opportunity to participate in the IBPS Clerk 2026 recruitment until August 28, 2026.
