Devices like Apple iPhone, Mac, and iPad are considered to be the safest; people also have a lot of confidence in the security of Apple products, but recently, the company has discovered a security flaw. Hackers can cause harm by taking advantage of this security flaw, so the company has started alerting iPhone, iPad, and Mac users.

According to the company's support page, the security flaw is due to an out-of-bounds write issue, which has now been fixed. After discovering this problem, the company immediately found its solution and, without delay, has released a software update for the users.

Who was affected?
This security flaw has affected the iPhone 11 series, iPhone XS, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 15 series, iPhone 14 series, and iPhone 16 series. Apart from this, many other models, including iPad Pro 13-inch, iPad Pro 12.9-inch third generation and subsequent models, iPad Pro 11-inch first generation and subsequent models, iPad Air third generation and subsequent models, iPad 7th generation and subsequent models, have also been affected by this.

Apple Update: Update released

To solve this problem, Apple has rolled out an emergency security update for iPadOS, iOS, and macOS users. Apart from iOS and iPadOS 18.6.2, this problem has now been fixed with the new update in older models working on iPadOS 17.7.10.

The update is available for macOS Sonoma 14.7.8, macOS Sequoia 15.6.1, and macOS Ventura 13.7.8. Apple says that this flaw has been fixed through improved bounds checking. Although the company has not shared any information about the attack, Apple has urged all users to update their devices as soon as possible.

Security experts have also advised installing the latest software update immediately. If you also use an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, then go to General in Settings and tap on Software Update, from here you can download and install the latest software.
