Eligible women under the Annapurna Yojana are receiving ₹3,000 as the September installment. On September 17, the amount is being transferred via DBT to bank accounts linked with Aadhaar.

If you are a beneficiary of the Annapurna Yojana, here is an important update for you. Today, September 17, a sum of ₹3,000 is being transferred to the bank accounts of eligible women as the installment for September. This amount will be sent via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the beneficiaries' Aadhaar-linked accounts. Crucially, this money will be disbursed only to those women whose applications and necessary verifications have been completed. However, if any discrepancies are found in your Aadhaar or bank account details, your payment could be affected.

₹3,000 provided monthly under the Annapurna Yojana

The Annapurna Yojana is a women's welfare scheme run by the West Bengal government. Under this scheme, eligible women receive financial assistance of ₹3,000 per month. To be eligible, women must be between the ages of 25 and 60. Specifically, the beneficiary must not hold a permanent government job and must not be an income taxpayer. According to official government details, the amount is transferred directly to the Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT.

Increase in the number of beneficiaries in September

Reports indicate a significant rise in the number of beneficiaries for the scheme in September compared to August. While approximately 1.48 crore women received benefits in August, the figure has reportedly risen to around 1.58 crore in September. This means an additional 10 lakh women could benefit from the scheme this month.

Which women will receive the money?

Women whose names appear on the list of eligible beneficiaries.
Those whose necessary verification has been completed.
Those whose Aadhaar and bank account details are correctly linked.
Women who meet the scheme's prescribed eligibility criteria.

What should you do if the money hasn't been credited?

If you are eligible but the ₹3,000 is not credited to your account today (September 17), the first step is to verify the details linked to your bank account and Aadhaar card. Additionally, in accordance with the scheme's official portal, ensure you have essential documents—such as your Aadhaar, bank account details, Voter ID, and an active mobile number—ready to avoid any issues when making a claim.
