Amidst the LPG Crisis, Government Launches ‘MyPNG-D’ Portal for Surrendering Connections: Get the Details Here
MyPNG-D Portal: Amidst the ongoing LPG shortage in the country, the Government of India has introduced a new digital platform aimed at helping manage the supply crisis across the nation. To strike a balance between the currently high demand for LPG and its limited availability in India, the Central Government has issued a directive: households equipped with a PNG pipeline connection must switch over to PNG within three months; otherwise, their LPG cylinder supply will be discontinued. Consequently, this order mandates that numerous households across the country must obtain a PNG pipeline connection and surrender their existing LPG connection.
To facilitate this process, the government recently launched the ‘MyPNG-D’ portal, designed specifically for the surrender of LPG cylinders and connections. With the help of this portal, customers can surrender their LPG connections without having to visit their gas agency’s office in person.
Surrendering LPG Connections Just Got Easier
Since PNG and LPG connections cannot be utilized simultaneously, customers are required to surrender their LPG connection as soon as they obtain a PNG connection. The new portal launched by the government streamlines the connection surrender process, making it extremely easy for LPG users to complete the necessary formalities. The portal can be accessed via the URL mypngd.in. Through this platform, customers can complete the surrender process using their registered mobile number or LPG ID, without needing to visit their gas dealer.
How the MyPNG-D Portal Benefits You
This portal has been launched to save your time and simplify the process; you can log in by creating an account using your mobile number or your LPG connection’s unique LPG ID. Additionally, the portal allows you to check the current status of your LPG connection. It is reported that to proceed, you must click on the “Switch To PNG Connection” option. Following this, you will need to fill out a digital form available on the same portal to complete the process of surrendering your old connection. It is being said that, following this, the gas company will contact you, and once the entire process is complete, the cylinder will be collected from you.
