Alert: This message can make you bankrupt, government warns..

Different types of fraud are happening every day in the country. Usually, the name of a government institution is used to make people its victims. Now fraud is happening in the name of India Post and many people have also become its victims. People are getting a message in the name of India Post in which it is being claimed that a parcel has arrived for them. A web link is also being shared with the message.

It is being claimed in this message that a parcel has arrived for them and the address will have to be confirmed for delivery. A link is also being sent with the message. People are being asked for information about the address within 48 hours. It is being said in the message that update the address by clicking on the link given along with it. Malware is being put in people's phones through this link. Their personal information is being taken. People are being defrauded based on this data.

The fact check team of the Press Information Bureau has posted on X and informed about this scam. PIB has said that India Post does not send such messages. If you have received any such message, do not click on the link and delete the message. This is a fake message and you can be made a victim through it.
