Airtel has launched a new YouTube Premium bundle for its prepaid users. It offers ad-free video viewing and YouTube Music Premium, along with additional data. Find out how to activate this offer.

Frequent advertisements while watching videos on a smartphone can often spoil the viewing experience. Additionally, the fact that a video stops playing when you switch to another app—such as when listening to a song on YouTube—can be quite frustrating. Imagine if your mobile recharge could also provide benefits like ad-free video viewing, background music playback, and the ability to download videos; that would certainly be a significant advantage for users.

Keeping this in mind, the telecom company Airtel has introduced YouTube Premium for its prepaid customers in India. The company has integrated this into its suite of entertainment offers, allowing users to enjoy both internet data and premium content within a single pack.

Get YouTube Premium with This Top-up

Airtel has bundled YouTube Premium with its Rs 200 OTT top-up pack. This pack also provides customers with 30GB of additional data. To avail of this offer, users must have an active Airtel prepaid recharge plan; in other words, it can be purchased as an add-on top-up alongside an existing recharge.

Duration of the Benefits

This Airtel bundle comes with a validity of 28 days, which is also the duration for which the YouTube Premium benefits remain active. Once the validity expires, customers can purchase another top-up and claim the benefits again through the app.

Enjoy Ad-Free Videos and Music

This bundle grants customers access to several YouTube Premium features, including ad-free video viewing, the ability to play videos or audio in the background while using other apps, and the option to download videos for offline viewing. Additionally, users will get access to YouTube Music Premium. This pack is not limited to just movies and web series; it is also useful for those who watch videos from creators on YouTube, engage with Shorts, or listen to music.

How to activate this benefit via the Airtel app

To avail of the YouTube Premium benefit, customers must first purchase the Rs 200 OTT top-up. Following this, they need to navigate to the 'Rewards & OTTs' section within the Airtel app. From there, select the 'YouTube Premium' option and follow the on-screen instructions to claim the service.

A new addition to Airtel’s OTT offerings

Airtel already provides its customers with access to platforms such as Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 Premium, and SonyLIV. Furthermore, the company’s OTT portfolio includes over 18 other platforms. With the addition of YouTube Premium, users now have a new option for watching videos, viewing content from creators, and listening to music.
