The no-code company previously allowed users to create apps without needing backend and frontend software development knowledge, making it easier to customize and develop the front using easy-to-use tools while building the backend.
As an automated app-building upgrade, the company is simplifying the process for Wix users, making it easier to choose the right look and features for their smartphone app. Wix is calling this tool a "conversational AI chat experience." As the name suggests, there is a chatbot that asks users a series of questions about the app, and based on the information submitted, it can create a customized app.
How the Wix AI-Powered App Builder Works
The process begins with telling the AI your idea and requirements for creating an app. Once it confirms the layout for the mobile app, it asks questions about the features the user wants in the app. The user does not need to provide information in technical terms and can state their intention in simple language. After this, the user can upload a logo for the app and then the final design is created.
Wix also assists its users once the app is created. It can also submit the app to the Google Play Store and App Store. Once it goes live, the platform can be used to release version updates and new features. The company provides a dashboard through which users can also view all app activity.
