AI Update: Now AI will not be able to trick you! Sundar Pichai took this big decision on the hiring process..

Virtual meetings and interviews have now become common in Silicon Valley after COVID-19. From startups to big tech companies, most companies have now adopted online hiring processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. However, now that AI is changing the way of working, a new problem has arisen in front of these companies, fraud with the help of AI during virtual hiring. To deal with this, Google has now decided to resume the process of calling the candidates to the office to better assess their real skills.
Fraud was happening in interviews with the help of AI.
Earlier this year, during an internal town hall meeting in February, Google employees raised the issue of candidates relying on AI tools to cheat in interviews, as CNBC also reported. An employee had asked if we could resume on-site job interviews again?

Google's Vice President (Recruiting) Brian Ong admitted that the challenge was real, although online interviews helped the company reduce the hiring timeline by about two weeks, but he admitted that they lacked the authenticity of face-to-face assessments. He further stressed that now at least one round of personal one-to-one interviews will be mandatory for some roles, especially for practical assessments like coding challenges.
Sund Pichai said that we are making sure that we start at least one round of one-to-one for people to ensure that the fundamentals are present. It is worth noting that Google is not the only company that is worried about AI assist fraud during interviews. Some companies suspect more than half of the candidates of using unauthorized AI tools during virtual interviews.
