AI Tool: AI tools are ruining human language, changing the way of speaking and writing..

Earlier, when the era of SMS came, the way people spoke and wrote changed. The habit of sending short messages has made our language concise. Now, a similar change is happening again, but this time, the reason is AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT.
Revealed in a German study
Researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (Germany) have found in a study that humans have now started adopting the language style of AI. In this research, 3.6 lakh YouTube videos and 7.7 lakh podcast episodes were analyzed before and after the arrival of ChatGPT. It was seen in the research that the use of words commonly used by AI in human speech and writing has suddenly increased.
Words learned from ChatGPT
The study identified several words that commonly appear repeatedly in answers created by AI, such as meticulous, boast, realm, delve, etc. Researchers are calling these words "GPT words", which humans have now started using in their everyday conversations.
A 'feedback loop' is being formed in language.
The researchers believe that humans are no longer just teaching AI, but are also learning and adopting the language of AI themselves. They are calling this process a "closed cultural feedback loop", that is, machines learn from humans and then influence human language.
Earlier research only talked about the impact of AI on written language, but this new study shows that human speech is also changing. Researcher Levin Brinkmann says, "Earlier we used to copy each other, now we are copying machines."
Fear of losing the human touch
Researcher Mor Naaman (Cornell Tech) says that this change is not just about words, but due to this, we are also losing linguistic diversity, human emotions, naturalness, and privacy. "Now, instead of expressing our thoughts ourselves, we speak what AI teaches us."
