After the deaths in Rau's IAS coaching center, the MCD sealed many coaching centers, as a result of which many licensed libraries have now increased their fees.

After the Old Rajendra Nagar incident, UPSC students are facing a new problem. The libraries associated with UPSC have doubled their fees for the students. This information has been given by the students preparing for the exam themselves. Civil service candidates claimed that after the MCD's action on the coaching centers running illegally in the 'basement', many licensed libraries in Old Rajendra Nagar and its surrounding areas have doubled their fees.

MCD had taken action after the incident

Let us tell you that the MCD has taken action on those buildings in Old Rajendra Nagar, where the 'basement' was being used for other commercial activities including libraries. The Municipal Corporation took this action after the death of 3 civil service candidates on July 27 due to rainwater filling the illegal library running in the basement of Rau's IAS coaching center in the area.

Fees doubled

A candidate preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam said that earlier the library owners used to charge a fee of Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 per month from a person, but after this accident, after the Municipal Corporation officials sealed the illegally run libraries, taking advantage of the fact that students are left with no option, many licensed library owners have doubled the fees. At the same time, another student said that students visiting libraries in areas around Rajendra Nagar like Patel Nagar are being asked to deposit a fee of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000.
