Admissions Open for 1-Year PG Course at Delhi University: Who Can Apply?

If you have completed a four-year undergraduate degree from Delhi University, there is good news for you. Under the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the university has launched the admission process for one-year postgraduate (PG) courses. Interested students can apply online until July 11, 2026.

Delhi University has commenced admissions for one-year PG programs for the new 2026-27 academic session. The objective of this new system is to provide eligible students with the opportunity to complete a master's degree in a shorter timeframe. Applications must be submitted online, and the deadline for filling out the form is 11:59 PM on July 11, 2026.

Eligibility is restricted to students who have completed a four-year Honours or research-based undergraduate degree from Delhi University under the UGCF 2022 framework. Additionally, candidates must have secured the required academic credits. Only applications from eligible students will be accepted.

There will be no separate entrance examination for this admission process. The university will prepare a merit list based on the marks obtained during the undergraduate program and prescribed eligibility criteria. Admission will be granted to candidates in accordance with this merit list.

Admissions for undergraduate and professional courses at Delhi University are also currently underway. The university has received over 1.48 lakh applications so far. Meanwhile, more than 62,000 students have completed the second phase of the process by submitting their college and course preferences. The university has also opened applications for the two-year M.Sc. course in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology for eligible students who have qualified for the GAT-B exam. The deadline to apply for this course is July 11, 2026.

To apply, first visit the Delhi University admission portal. Log in using your enrollment number and date of birth. Next, select the one-year PG program, accurately fill in all the required details, and upload the requested documents. Thoroughly review all the information before submitting the form. Finally, submit the form and download a copy for future reference.
