Account balance will be visible every time after UPI payment – New rule is going to be implemented from August 1

Earlier, the balance left in the account was not visible immediately. Due to this, many times people do not know how much money is left in the account, and unnecessary transactions or failure problems used to come up.
Now whenever you send money to someone through UPI from your mobile, the amount left in your bank account will be visible on the screen as soon as the transaction is completed. National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has implemented this new rule to make digital transactions transparent and user-friendly, which will come into effect across the country from August 1. Till now, whenever a consumer used to make UPI payment, the transaction confirmation was received, but the balance left in his account was not visible immediately. Due to this, many times people do not know how much money is left in the account and unnecessary transaction or failure problems used to come up.
Now the account balance will be visible on the screen after every transaction
Understanding this need, NPCI has added a new update to UPI. Under this, now after the transaction, not only will the message of 'Payment Successful' come on the user's screen, but it will also show how much bank balance is left after the transaction. An important thing is that a limit has also been set on the number of balance checks. Consumers will be able to check their account balance only 50 times a day. This will not put excessive load on the system and the server will also remain stable. Apart from this, this rule will be applicable for all the services which have a large number of transactions such as Amazon Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, CRED, Google Pay, and BHIM. NPCI has included a total of 10 UPI apps under this system.
NPCI also made this change
The effect of the change will not be limited to common transactions only. Automated payments like medical stores, transport ticketing and fast tags etc. will also get the experience of balance display under this new system. However, in some cases the balance information may come with a little delay. Similarly, when there is a lot of traffic, like on salary days or festivals, even then the service of showing the balance may be delayed or limited. But overall now UPI transactions will become even more seamless, transparent and user-friendly.
