We all know that the central government and state government of the country run various types of schemes for the economically weaker people of India, which aim to help these people and uplift their lives, including many housing schemes. One such scheme has been started by the Jharkhand government, the new 'Abua Awas' scheme will provide pucca (permanent) houses to 20 lakh families by 2027, which is a big step towards meeting the housing needs in the state, let's know full details about it-
Launch of the scheme: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren unveiled the 'Abua Awas' scheme, which aims to build three-room houses for 20 lakh poor families. Each house will have separate kitchens and toilets.
Financing and implementation: The state government requested financial assistance from the central government to build houses for eight lakh families. Due to a lack of funds from the Centre, Jharkhand decided to launch the scheme using its resources.
Beneficiary acceptance: CM Soren distributed acceptance letters to the beneficiaries of the scheme. He emphasized that the project is a commitment to fulfill the promise made to the underprivileged residents of the state.
Eligibility Criteria: To avail of the 'Abua Awas' scheme, applicants must be residents of Jharkhand and should not already own a pucca house. The scheme does not apply to individuals who are already receiving benefits from the PM Awas Yojana.
