Step 2 - You can send the message to either <567678> or <56161>.
For example, if your Aadhaar number is 987654321012 and your PAN number is ABCDE1234F, then you need to type UIDPAN 987654321012 ABCDE1234F and send it to either <567678> or <56161>.
Who needs Aadhaar-PAN linking?
If your Aadhaar card was issued before October 1, 2024, and you pay income tax, then linking your Aadhaar and PAN is mandatory.
Who doesn't need it?
Individuals who do not file ITR.
Those residing in states like Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, and Meghalaya.
Those above 80 years of age.
Those who are not Indian citizens.

Difficulty obtaining a debit or credit card.
Cannot deposit more than 50,000 rupees in a single day at a bank or post office.
Cannot deposit more than 250,000 rupees in a single financial year.
Cannot conduct transactions exceeding 10,000 rupees at any bank.
