In the coming days, you will not have to go to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) center to update Aadhaar. A new app is being developed, which will be launched by November. After this, you will be able to update everything in your Aadhaar yourself through the new app while sitting at home. Given security, the feature of OTP coming on the mobile number has been kept for updating Aadhaar. In such a situation, it will be mandatory for you to have the number registered during registration.

The machines are being linked to the database by the authority. So far, about two thousand machines have been linked, while 98 thousand machines are yet to be linked and this work will be completed before November. After the app is launched, any change in Aadhaar can be done by yourself.

You will have to go to the center only for this work
The database will be linked to birth certificates, driving licenses, and passports and will be linked to all other certified information including mobile numbers. In such a situation, you will have to go to the Aadhaar center only to register biometrics and eye recognition (IRIS). Apart from this, every change can be done by the registered person himself.

Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique ID number that authenticates the identity of a person and has become extremely important for availing government schemes as well as banking facilities. Every person must update their Aadhaar card every 10 years. At the same time, the Baal Aadhaar issued for children has to be updated after the age of 5 and then before the age of 15.

At present, changes can be made online in the name (with some conditions), address, date of birth, gender, and other demographic details. But for changes in mobile number, email ID, biometric data or photo, you will have to go to the nearest Aadhaar service center and complete the process with a fee of Rs 50. In the coming days, you will have to go to the service center only for biometrics and IRIS.
