There are many news coming on social media that if the Aadhaar card has not been updated for 10 years then it will stop working after June 14. UIDAI has taken cognizance of this news which is going viral and has clarified. The institute making Aadhaar cards has said that nothing like this will happen. Even if an Aadhaar card is not updated for 10 years, it will continue to work.

In such a situation, the question arises where did this matter of June 14 come from? UIDAI has said that the Aadhaar card can be updated for free till June 14. But after this, if someone updates the Aadhar card, he will have to pay. It was from here that the news came to light that after June 14, such Aadhaar cards which have not been updated for 10 years will stop working.

Free update facility not available everywhere
