Steps to update your photo:
Visit Aadhaar Service Center: You cannot update your photo online; you have to visit the nearest Aadhaar center.
Submit Update Form: Fill the Aadhaar update form with the required details.
Biometric verification: Your new photo will be taken by the operator at the center.
Get update request slip: After the photo is taken, you will receive an update request slip which you should keep safe.
Pay the fee: A fee of Rs 50 is charged for updating the photo on your Aadhaar card.
Downloading the updated Aadhaar card
Once your photo is updated, it may take 30 to 90 minutes for the changes to reflect in the system. You can then download your updated Aadhaar card online.
Steps to download the updated Aadhaar card:
Visit the official website: Visit www.uidai.gov.in.
Go to Download Aadhaar: Click on the "Download Aadhaar" option.
Enter the required details: On the new page, enter your Aadhaar number, enrollment number or Virtual ID.
Send OTP: Click on "Send OTP" and enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
Verify & Download: Enter the captcha and click on “Verify & Download” to get your updated Aadhaar card.
