The Rules for Submitting Aadhaar Photocopies Will Change
In many places, such as hotels and other services, people submit photocopies of their Aadhaar cards for Aadhaar verification, and these copies are kept physically there. Now, UIDAI is preparing to end this old system.
UIDAI is working on a plan to completely phase out paper-based Aadhaar verification soon, to ensure document security and prevent misuse.
Aadhaar verification will now be completely digital.
UIDAI is soon implementing a major change in the Aadhaar verification process. Providing a photocopy of Aadhaar will no longer be necessary, as paper-based verification is being discontinued. A new digital system will replace it. Any entity wishing to verify Aadhaar will need to register with UIDAI. Aadhaar verification can also be done using a QR code or mobile app.
UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar stated that this rule has been approved and will be implemented soon. Furthermore, UIDAI is also launching a new app that will allow app-to-app Aadhaar verification, eliminating the need to request Aadhaar photocopies.
