In today's digital age, the Aadhaar card has become the most important identification for every citizen of the country. From opening a bank account to availing the benefits of any government scheme, no important task can be accomplished without this single document. Therefore, if this essential card is lost or stolen, it's natural for the common man to be worried.

How to get Aadhaar without a mobile number?
The problem becomes even more serious when the cardholder doesn't remember their Aadhaar number and doesn't have a mobile number linked to it. In this situation, you are unable to download it online from home. However, there's no need to panic. To resolve this complex issue, you need to visit the nearest Aadhaar enrollment center in your area.

Upon reaching the enrollment center, you'll need to provide the employee with your 28-digit enrollment ID number. This important number is written on the receipt you received when you first made your Aadhaar card. Based on this number, the employee will proceed with the necessary procedures to verify your identity.

During verification, the employee will scan your fingerprint or eyes and ask for some basic information, such as your name or address. Once all the information is correctly matched, you will be provided with a copy of your e-Aadhaar. This entire process doesn't require any significant expense; you can obtain your document by paying a fee of just 30 rupees.

How to Download Online with a Linked Mobile Number
On the other hand, if your mobile number is already registered with your Aadhaar card, the situation is quite different and much easier. In this case, you don't need to visit any center. You can easily download a new Aadhaar card from the comfort of your home using your smartphone or computer.

To begin this online process, you must first visit the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). On the homepage, you must locate the 'My Aadhaar' section. Once you enter this section, you'll see a key option on your screen: "Retrieve Lost or Forgotten UID/EID," which you'll need to click.

After clicking this option, carefully enter your full name, date of birth, and the mobile number or email address linked to your Aadhaar on the new page that opens. Upon submitting this information, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number or email ID for security purposes. Enter this OTP correctly in the designated box.

Once you enter the correct OTP on the website and submit, all your Aadhaar-related details will immediately appear on your computer or mobile screen. Additionally, your e-Aadhaar card will be sent directly to your registered email ID, where you can save it. Most importantly, there's no fee for availing this entire online service.
