Aadhaar Card Update: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced that Aadhaar card holders can update their details for free till June 14, 2025. After this date, people will have to pay a fee of ₹ 50 for updating the details.

According to the rules of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), every Indian has to update their Aadhaar card every 10 years. Apart from this, Blue Aadhaar i.e. Aadhaar of children is also updated between 5 years to 15 years.

UIDAI has announced that Aadhaar card holders can update their Aadhaar details for free till June 14, 2025. With the last date approaching, this is an important opportunity for those Aadhaar card holders who have not yet availed this facility. For any change in Aadhaar details after the due date, you will have to pay a fee of ₹50.

Who needs to update Aadhaar?

Updating the information in the Aadhaar card is very important for those who have not made any changes in their Aadhaar in the last 10 years. For children who have a blue Aadhaar card, it is mandatory for them to update their biometric details between the ages of 5 and 15 years. UIDAI has extended the last date several times before. How to update Aadhaar for free?

First of all go to the official website of UIDAI.

Login with the help of OTP received on your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number.

Click on the 'Document Update' option given on the top right of the website.

Upload valid documents related to Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) in JPEG, PNG or PDF format (maximum 2MB size).

Finally submit the request and track the status of your update through the Update Request Number (URN) received via SMS.
