A veritable shower of job opportunities is raining down at the ongoing job fair at Gyan Bhawan in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Tuesday (May 26) marked the second day of this fair. Throughout the day, immense enthusiasm was evident among the youth regarding the prospect of securing a job.

What is this Event?

A three-day state-level ‘Health and Allied Sectors Job Fair 2026’ has been organized at Gyan Bhawan in Patna. This fair is focused exclusively on the health (medical) sector and its allied fields. This grand job fair has been organized by the ‘Bihar Skill Development Mission,’ an initiative operating under the ‘Department of Youth, Employment, and Skill Development.’ Its primary objective is to provide an excellent platform for those youths of Bihar who, having completed their studies, aspire to build a stellar career in hospitals or the broader healthcare sector.

Jobs Secured by This Many Youths on Day Two

May 26 brought good news to thousands of families. On the second day of the fair, a total of 3,659 youths were selected for positions in various major companies and hospitals within the healthcare sector. The 3,659 successful candidates comprise 3,050 men and 609 women. Prominent companies such as Medanta, Apollo, Paras, Ruban, Akhand Jyoti, and Portea participated in this job fair.

Opportunity to Work Abroad for 747 Youths

This job fair also opened up opportunities for youths to secure employment abroad. Specifically, 747 youths were selected for international placements.

This time around, the job fair has been designed to be highly modern and streamlined. Youths from various districts across Bihar—including those from remote villages—are arriving in Patna in large numbers in search of employment. They no longer need to stand in long queues to register; a convenient QR code facility has been made available at the fair for registration purposes. Young people simply scan the QR code using their mobile phones, and their registration is completed with ease.

To facilitate overseas employment opportunities, several renowned international organizations also set up stalls at this fair.
