Just before Diwali, the prices of LPG gas cylinders in India have been increased for the third consecutive month. Effective November 1, 2026, the prices of commercial LPG in major metropolitan cities have been raised by amounts ranging from ₹10 to ₹17. Commercial LPG is sold in 19-kilogram cylinders.
On the other hand, the prices of domestic LPG have remained unchanged for the sixth consecutive month. Unlike commercial LPG, domestic LPG cylinders weigh 14.2 kilograms and are the type most commonly used in Indian households.

What are the prices in Delhi?
As of November 1, 2026, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been increased by ₹10, bringing it to ₹2,820. Last month, the price was ₹2,810. This represents the smallest increase.

The largest hike in November 2026 occurred in Kolkata, where the price rose by ₹17 to ₹2,971 per cylinder, compared to ₹2,954 in October. In Mumbai, the price of LPG has increased by ₹10.50 to reach ₹2,775, up from ₹2,764.50 per cylinder the previous month.
Additionally, in Chennai, the new price for LPG this month is ₹2,994.50—an increase of ₹11.50 over the October 2026 price of ₹2,983.

Why have the prices increased?
This hike follows an increase in the rates for propane and butane for November 2026, announced by Saudi Aramco and Algeria’s Sonatrach. Aramco has raised the prices of propane and butane by 5.9% and 6.8%, respectively. Under this, Aramco has increased the price of propane by $40 to $720 per tonne, and the price of butane by $50 to $780 per metric tonne.

Meanwhile, according to the new rate list, the price for a 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder for a new connection is ₹1,903, while the price for a 5 kg FTL refill is ₹782.
