PAN Card Verification: Is your PAN card fake or not? Find out easily from these easy steps....
A PAN card is an important document in India. A PAN card is mandatory for every major financial transaction. From opening a bank account to filing an income tax return, a PAN card is required. People above 18 years of age must get their PAN card made. These days the cases of online fraud are increasing, in such a situation, the risk of a fake PAN card has also increased. In such a situation, you can find out whether your PAN card is genuine or not while sitting at home. Apart from this, you can easily know whether the PAN card is active or not.
This is how you can identify your PAN-
- Go to the Income Tax Department's e-filing portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. On the left side of the home page, you will see the option of Verify Your PAN Details. Click on it - On the new page, you will have to enter the details of your name, date of birth and PAN number - After filling in the correct information, a message will come on the portal as to whether the information given by you is correct or not. -You will also know whether your PAN card is active or not -In this way, you can easily find out the veracity of the PAN card.
Make a new pan card like this sitting at home
To apply for a PAN card, visit the NSDL or UTIITSL website. Now online as well as the offline application can be made. ID proof, residence certificate and birth certificate will be required.
To get a PAN card, apply online like this, first of all, go to the website of NDSL to get a new PAN card. After this, go to the application type and click on where New PAN - Indian Citizen (Form 49A) is written. After that go to the category option. Select your category and select Individual in it. Fill in all the requested information like name, date of birth, email address and mobile number etc. Then submit by entering the captcha code. A message will come to your mobile number.
Next click on Continue with the PAN Application Form button. After that submit your digital e-KYC. Now you have to enter your details in the next part of the form. Now enter your area code, AO type and other requested details in this part of the form. Now click on 'Proceed'.
Pay the Fees Like This After That You Can Pay Through Net Banking / Debit / Credit Card. After this, the receipt will come, after taking a print of which you will have to put two passport-size photographs in it and send it to the address of NSDL.
