76,000 Teachers in Rajasthan to Receive Hourly Pay; Here’s How Recruitment Will Work
Preparations are underway to appoint 76,791 guest faculty members in Rajasthan under the ‘Vidya Sambal Yojana’. Find out who is eligible to apply, how the selection process works, and what the hourly remuneration will be.
To address the shortage of teachers in government schools and educational institutions across Rajasthan, the government is set to appoint guest faculty under the ‘Vidya Sambal Yojana’. This scheme will provide teaching opportunities for approximately 76,791 positions. A key feature of this initiative is that these teachers will not receive a salary like regular government employees; instead, they will be paid based on the number of hours they teach. This move will help fill vacancies in schools while simultaneously offering qualified young individuals the opportunity to teach.
Recruitment for Over 76,000 Positions
Under the Vidya Sambal Yojana, vacancies in state government schools and other educational institutions will be filled based on requirements. According to available information, preparations are being made to appoint a total of 76,791 guest faculty members. Teachers will be recruited for various classes and subjects. The positions include Grade-3 teachers for Classes 1 to 8, Senior Teachers for Classes 9 and 10, and posts for Classes 11 and 12. Guest faculty may also be appointed in higher education institutions as needed.
Salary Based on Teaching Hours
Under this scheme, the remuneration for teachers is determined by their position and the class they teach. Grade-3 teachers instructing Classes 1 to 8 will receive an honorarium of ₹300 per hour, with a maximum monthly cap of ₹21,000. Senior Teachers for Classes 9 and 10 will receive ₹350 per hour, up to a maximum of ₹25,000 per month. Meanwhile, Lecturers for Classes 11 and 12 will be paid ₹400 per hour, with a maximum monthly limit of ₹30,000.
No Written Exam for Selection
A key feature of this recruitment drive is that candidates will not be required to take a separate written examination. Selection will be based on a merit list prepared according to academic qualifications and experience. According to available information, 75 percent weightage may be assigned to academic qualifications, while 25 percent may be allocated for professional qualifications and experience. Candidates possessing strong qualifications in the relevant subject may benefit from this. Eligible retired teachers will also be able to apply under this scheme.
How to Apply?
Applications for guest faculty positions will be submitted in accordance with the notifications issued by the respective schools, colleges, or educational institutions. Reports indicate that applications may be accepted via offline mode, and no application fee will be charged to candidates. Candidates should keep a close watch on notifications issued by schools or institutions in their area. Proof of academic qualifications, experience, and other necessary documents must be submitted at the time of application.
Will This Be a Permanent Government Job?
It is important to note that appointments made under the ‘Vidya Sambal Yojana’ do not constitute regular government employment. Guest faculty members will be engaged on a temporary basis, subject to requirements. Services may be terminated upon the appointment of a regular teacher or if the need for guest faculty at the institution ceases. Therefore, candidates should not mistake this for a permanent government job. However, it presents a good opportunity for young individuals seeking experience in the teaching sector.
