134 Agriculture Vacancies in UP; 10th Pass and Diploma Holders Can Apply

The UPSSSC has initiated the application process for the Junior Engineer (Agriculture) Main Examination under the Directorate of Agriculture. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 134 Junior Engineer (Agriculture) posts within the Directorate of Agriculture.

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has started the application process for the Junior Engineer (Agriculture) Main Examination under the Directorate of Agriculture. Through this recruitment, a total of 134 Junior Engineer (Agriculture) posts will be filled. The Commission has invited applications for this recruitment under Advertisement No. 19-Exam/2026. The application process began on September 17, 2026, and eligible candidates can fill out the online form until October 7. However, an opportunity to make corrections to the application will be provided until October 14.

For the Junior Engineer (Agriculture) posts, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. Additionally, they must possess a 3-year diploma in Agricultural Engineering in the relevant discipline. Candidates are also required to have knowledge of Hindi in the Devanagari script. Furthermore, only those candidates who have been issued a UPSSSC PET 2025 score card by the Commission are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

Category-wise Posts and Age Limit

Out of the total 134 posts, 54 are designated for the General category, 23 for SC, 1 for ST, 43 for OBC, and 13 for the EWS category. The age of candidates for these posts will be calculated as of July 1, 2026. Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years of age. Relaxation in the minimum age limit for reserved categories will be granted in accordance with the Commission's rules.

Application Fee and Selection Process

The application fee for this recruitment has been kept quite low. A fee of ₹25 has been fixed for General, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates. This fee must be paid online. For the UPSC agriculture recruitment, candidates will be selected based on shortlisting via their PET 2025 scores, followed by a main written examination. The Commission will release the admit card and the date for the main examination at a later stage. Selected candidates will receive a salary under Level-6, with a pay scale ranging from ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 and a grade pay of ₹4,200.
