The 1000 rupee note has been in the headlines for the last few days. But now it has become clear in a report that the 1000 rupee currency note is not coming back. Sources informed that the RBI is not thinking of any such plan. That is, there is no plan to reintroduce the 1000 rupee note.

ANI said through sources in the report, 'RBI is not thinking of reintroducing the 1000 rupee note.'

It is worth noting that at the time of demonetization in 2016, along with the 500 rupee currency note, 1000 rupee notes were also discontinued. The government had introduced 2000 rupee notes in place of 1000 rupee notes. Apart from this, new 500 rupee notes were also issued by the RBI.

However, this year (2023), the RBI also decided to withdraw the Rs 2000 note from circulation. After the Rs 2000 note was discontinued, there were constant speculations that the Rs 1000 note could be brought back.

Let us remind you that earlier this year, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das had confirmed that there were no plans to reintroduce the Rs 1000 note. The RBI Governor had said, 'These are all speculations. There is no such proposal at the moment.'
