Bihar Account Error News: A startling incident has emerged from Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district. An 82-year-old man, who went to withdraw his pension, was shocked to see a balance of approximately ₹759 crore in his bank account. This bizarre incident happened to Kameshwar Mishra, a resident of Thatiya Siho village in the Sakra block.
Kameshwar, a poet by profession and a beneficiary of the social security pension scheme, visited a Common Service Center (CSC) on Sunday to withdraw his pension. There, he discovered a balance of ₹759,69,51,951—amounting to roughly ₹759 crore. The matter came to light when he decided to check the balance after withdrawing the pension amount. His differently-abled son was with him at the time. The surprise deepened when a check of his son’s account revealed an equally massive balance. Together, the two accounts held a total of more than ₹1,500 crore.
What the Elderly Man Did
Kameshwar Mishra stated that he could not fathom where such a large amount of money had suddenly come from. Acting prudently, he contacted the bank and relevant officials, urging them to investigate the matter so that any error could be rectified immediately. However, no official has provided a clarification yet. It is speculated that a technical glitch in the bank’s server or an error in the banking system might be the cause.
Similar Incident in Gaya District
A similar case has also been reported from Delha in the Gaya district. There, ₹759 crore was credited to the account of an e-rickshaw driver named Shiv Kumar Patel in exactly the same manner. A balance of ₹740 crore was also reflected in the accounts of some pensioners in Vaishali and Samastipur districts.
