Reacting to screenshots posted by several users, YouTube acknowledged that some adult accounts were mistakenly converted to minor accounts. Such users can upload a government ID, credit card details, or a selfie to prove their identity. If a user does not verify their age, their account will be permanently considered a minor account and adult content will be completely prohibited on it.
