YouTube officially announced that Premium Lite users will now receive several new benefits. The plan now supports Background Play, meaning the video will not pause even if the app is minimized or the screen is locked. This feature will be very useful for podcast or interview listeners.

In addition, users will now also have the ability to download videos, allowing them to watch their favorite videos without an internet. Furthermore, the Lite plan will now offer a video viewing experience that's almost identical to the Premium Lite plan.
